Your first 30 minutes with ComoFX

Opening a trading account, completing identity verification, and placing your first trade should not feel like a maze. This section walks you through every step with screenshots, common questions, and the gotchas we see most often from new traders. If you already trade elsewhere and just need to migrate, skip to the funding article — most verified deposits land in under five minutes.

ComoFX is regulated by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) of South Africa under FSP 47645. Client funds sit in segregated accounts at top-tier banks, separate from operating capital. That means the onboarding flow is built around regulatory requirements — the documents we ask for, the verification time, and the funding limits are all driven by what the FSCA expects us to verify.

Before you start

• Valid government ID: South African ID, passport, or driver's licence. The photo page must be clear and the document must not be expired.
• Proof of address: Utility bill, bank statement, or municipal letter from the last three months showing your current residential address.
• Email and phone: We send verification codes by SMS and confirmation emails. Use an inbox you check regularly — withdrawal emails come there too.
• A funding source: You can verify without funding, but to trade live you need an EFT-capable bank account, Visa/Mastercard, or a crypto wallet that supports USDT TRC20.
